Bruce was the first puppy that Brandon and Erika raised together. Born on March 24, 2004, Bruce joined the family at 8 weeks of age. Initially, Bruce was supposed to be just a pet, but his breeder, Pam McCune convinced us to start showing. Little did we know where that would lead us.

Bruce really wants to be a lap dog, but if the girls are hogging the couch, he’s happy just being close to one of us (though he really is a mama’s boy). He enjoys strutting his stuff in the conformation ring, but really loves doing Rally Obedience. The crowd always cheered for Bruce, whether he’s flying over a jump or rolling over onto his back!

His huge square head is his best feature, but it was his graceful movement around the ring that usually turns heads. Bruce never finished his championship, but made us proud by taking Best in Sweeps Veterans and Best in Opposite Sex in Veterans Sweeps at his retirement show.
